FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers to common questions. If something isn’t covered, request access and ask directly.
Is this accounting software for accountants?
No. Built for business owners and admin staff who handle day-to-day finances. No accounting training required.
Your accountant can access the system if you invite them, and they’ll find all the reports they need.
Can my accountant access it?
Yes. Invite your accountant with read-only or full access.
They can view and export trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, journal listings, and chart of accounts.
Does this replace Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks?
It can, depending on your needs.
Voro Core handles invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, and financial reporting. If that’s what you use your current software for, it can replace it.
If you rely on specific integrations, inventory management, or payroll processing, check with us first.
What if I make a mistake?
Mistakes happen. Correction is straightforward.
For most errors, edit the transaction directly. For locked VAT periods, create an adjustment in the next period — which is correct accounting anyway.
The audit log tracks all changes.
Is my data safe?
Yes.
- Stored in secure, encrypted databases
- Backed up daily with 30-day retention
- Hosted in EU data centres (GDPR compliant)
- Accessible only to you and users you invite
We don’t share, sell, or analyse your financial data.
Is there a free trial?
No.
Free trials attract people who aren’t serious, create support burden, and leave incomplete data behind.
We’d rather have a conversation first and only onboard you if it’s the right fit.
Can I import my existing data?
Yes, with some limitations.
We import bank transactions (CSV from most Irish banks), customer and supplier lists, and opening balances.
We don’t do full historical migration. Start fresh at the beginning of your financial year and keep your old system for historical queries.
How do I get bank transactions in?
CSV import. Most Irish banks (Revolut, AIB, Bank of Ireland) let you export transactions as CSV. Upload and they’re processed automatically.
Direct bank feeds are coming — when they’re reliable.
What VAT rates are supported?
All Irish VAT rates:
- 23% (standard)
- 13.5% (reduced)
- 9% (hospitality)
- 0% (zero-rated)
- Exempt
- Reverse charge (B2B services)
- EU intra-community supplies
Can multiple people use it?
Yes. Unlimited users — no per-user charge.
What if I want to leave?
Your data is yours. Export everything:
- Bank transactions as CSV
- Customer and supplier lists
- All invoices as PDF
- Full journal and ledger exports
- Financial reports
