IT infrastructure, Ireland

Reliable infrastructure for businesses that cannot afford disruption.

Some businesses cannot simply lift everything into the cloud. Hotels, factories, larger premises and multi site companies depend on servers, networks and connectivity working every single day.

Where infrastructure quietly becomes a business risk

01

A server nobody wants to touch

It runs something important. It has not been changed in years and no one is certain what depends on it.

02

Several suppliers, no owner

Broadband from one company, phones from another, network from a third. When something breaks, everyone points sideways.

03

WiFi that is fine until it matters

It works in the office and fails in the part of the building where the work happens.

04

Backups nobody has tested

A backup that has never been restored is a plan, not a protection.

05

Growth on top of old foundations

More staff, more devices, more sites, all sitting on a design that suited a smaller business.

06

Cloud is not the whole answer

Production lines, tills, cameras and door systems live on the premises. They still need the local environment to work.

Scope

The whole environment, not one box at a time.

Most infrastructure problems are design problems. Treating each component separately is how businesses end up with five suppliers and no answers.

Infrastructure review

Start by knowing what you actually have.

Before recommending anything we look at the environment as a whole and write it down in language a board will understand.

  • What is actually running, where, and what depends on it
  • The condition and remaining life of key equipment
  • Where a single failure would stop the operation
  • Whether backups would genuinely bring you back
  • Network and WiFi design against how the building is used
  • A prioritised plan with the urgent work separated from the eventual work

Quick ask

Which part worries you most?

The server, the WiFi, the backups, the supplier who never answers. Name it in one sentence and we will tell you what we would look at first.

Modernisation

Ageing servers, handled carefully.

Replacing infrastructure that the business depends on is mostly a planning exercise. We document what depends on what, agree the order of work, and move things with a way back at every step.

Questions we get asked

Are you an IT helpdesk?

No. We are engineers who look after the environment a business depends on. If you need general day to day desktop support as your main requirement, we are not the right fit and will tell you.

Can you work alongside our existing IT provider?

Yes, and it is common. Often the provider is doing their part well and nobody is looking at the whole environment.

Should we not just move everything to the cloud?

Sometimes. Sometimes it costs more and performs worse. Businesses with production lines, tills, cameras and local devices usually need a considered mix rather than an all or nothing move.

Our server is old but it works. Is that a problem?

It is a risk rather than a fault. The question is what happens on the day it stops, how long that would take to fix, and what that would cost the operation.

Do you cover multiple sites?

Yes. Multi site businesses are a large part of this work, including linking sites and giving them consistent standards.

Where do you work?

We are based in Thurles, Co. Tipperary and work with businesses across Ireland. On site attendance is planned around the work rather than promised as a marketing claim.
